Celtro's DynaMate technology and products were designed especially to address the challenges of the cellular backhaul network. DynaMate-based solutions support 2G, 3G R99, HSPA, and more advanced radio technologies, and TDM, ATM, Ethernet and IP/MPLS backhaul technologies.
Celtro DynaMate products provide software-based, smooth migration from TDM backhaul networks for 2G services only, through a converged ATM backhaul network for 2G and 3G services, a hybrid network solution for offloading HSPA traffic, and all the way to All-IP RAN - the backhaul network of the future - for the complete range of 2G, 3G and 4G mobile services.
In 2G networks, DynaMate switches aggregate and optimize backhaul traffic. DynaMate products groom 2G TDM traffic at the 64Kbps level, optimizing the groomed traffic with gains of up to 3:1.
With the introduction of 3G, DynaMate is easily upgraded to support the optimal convergence of 2G and 3G traffic over a dynamically shared, unified ATM backhaul network. Convergence of 2G and 3G traffic maximizes network efficiency by statistically multiplexing all backhaul traffic, reducing network sensitivity to changing traffic demands by dynamically sharing backhaul capacity between all mobile services, and allowing rapid introduction of new mobile services during low network usage periods.
When introducing HSPA, DynaMate enables continuous optimal convergence of all 2G, 3G R99 and HSPA traffic for better network efficiency, flexibility and rapid introduction of new services. Alternately, DynaMate enables a hybrid network solution in which "best effort" HSPA traffic is offloaded and delivered over a cost-effective Ethernet backhaul network - while delay-sensitive 2G and 3G R99 traffic is carried by the existing backhaul infrastructure.
With the impending introduction of IMS and network R.6 and R.7, backhaul networks will migrate to all-IP RAN. In this scenario, too, DynaMate enables optimal convergence of all 2G, 3G R99 and HSPA traffic on one unified and dynamically shared IP/MPLS network - guaranteeing end-to-end QoS and providing network synchronization to the cell sites.
